Do you Organize Your Calendar?

Do you organize your calendar? What does it look like?

If it’s all one color, every single appointment is set for 1 hour, and you’re booked from sun up to sun down, I have a few suggestions for you:

Color code it. Set a color for each “type” of commitment you have (i.e. personal or business, event or party, payment due or phone call, etc.). Whether you use online or a hand written calendar, color coding is a super simple and quick way to know what your upcoming week looks like at a glance.

Be realistic with your time. Will it really take you an hour to make that phone call? If not, don’t book out an hour of time for it. The more realistic you are with your time, the more fun you’ll be able to fit into your schedule.

Prioritize. Don’t commit to things you don’t want or need to do. Be really strict on this. It’s okay to say no!

These are simple changes that can make a big difference in your scheduling habits. Taking an extra second to ensure that your calendar accurately represents your most important commitments will give you an edge in every area of your life.
